HOUSTON, Texas – First appearing in Houston in the 1930s, Prince’s Hamburgers are famous for their cheeseburgers, onion rings, and chocolate shakes!
For generations, Houstonians had come to various Prince locations across town to eat, talk about cars, and hang out with friends.
In 2017, when Hurricane Harvey hit, the Last Prince’s site was closed, but owner John Broussard refused to make the Houston institution go away.
In 2020, Broussard took Prince’s to an unlikely location – the clubhouse on Sharpstown Park Golf Course. Customers say the menu items taste the same as they did decades ago.
In this edition of My Go-To, learn about Prince’s history, discover Broussard’s unique path to owning the company, and see how the restaurant’s auto culture has returned with a monthly auto show.
