COVID issues for individuals who have visited Willapa Chiropractic & Therapeutic massage

Patients who attended a Willapa chiropractic and massage last week may have been exposed to COVID-19.

Pacific County Public Health & Human Services announced to KXRO that an employee of Willapa Chiropractic and Massage in Raymond tested positive for COVID-19.

This employee worked on June 2ndnd and June 4ththe while potentially contagious and potentially exposed to patients who visited the practice.

It is believed that patients who visited the Willapa Chiropractic Office on other days were not exposed and will not be quarantined.

However, the Pacific County’s Department of Health says it has been unable to pinpoint the exposure that may have occurred.

Anyone who has been in the office during these dates and has not been vaccinated is asked to be quarantined for 14 days from the date of your visit. People in quarantine should stay at home and avoid any contact with anyone who is not a member of the household. You shouldn’t go to work or visit public places like grocery stores.

“If you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, which means it has been more than 14 days since your last COVID-19 vaccination, your risk is incredibly small and we do not recommend that you go into quarantine.”

If you develop symptoms, regardless of vaccination status, you should get tested. COVID-19 symptoms can develop two to 14 days after exposure and may include cough, shortness of breath, fever, chills, or repeated shaking with chills, muscle aches, headaches, sore throats, and recent loss of taste or smell.

You can find test options under www.pacificcountycovid19.com/get-tested or by phone at 360-875-9407.

“Everyone should take steps to slow the spread of COVID-19 and protect themselves and others from disease. Face covering should be worn by all unvaccinated persons in all public places and whenever people meet with others outside their household. Individuals should exercise physical distancing when around others and limit social gatherings. Remember to wash your hands frequently, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer when soap and water are not available, cover coughs and sneezes, avoid touching your face with unwashed hands, disinfect surfaces with high contact frequently and stay at home when sick.

If you have not been vaccinated against COVID-19, we strongly recommend that you do so. Vaccination clinics are available throughout Pacific County for anyone 12 years or older. A list of the currently planned clinics can be found at www.pacificcountycovid19.com/vaccine-information or call 360-875-9407.

If you have any questions about possible exposure at Willapa Chiropractic or elsewhere, please call 360-214-6013 and ask to speak to the On-Call Public Health Nurse.
