Houston Election Day: The place to Discover Free Meals and Drink after Voting

It’s election day at last. The lines may be long and the voting may look different this year thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, but many bars and restaurants in Houston continue a long tradition of offering free drinks and canapes to those who choose.

It’s worth noting that it’s technically against the law for facilities to offer free food and drink to people who choose. However, restaurants can legally circumvent this by opening offers to everyone, including those without an “I Voted” sticker. For those looking to vote this year, make a plan, search HarrisVotes.com for polling stations and estimated waiting times, then head to one of the bars and restaurants in the Houston area to reward yourself.
