Man dies of a damaged neck after chiropractic therapy

John Lawler died of a broken neck following chiropractic treatment

The family of a man who died of a broken neck after undergoing chiropractic treatment wants the chiropractor to be tried in a criminal court.

John Lawler, 80, from the UK, died in August 2017, Fox News reports. Relatives say he was in the middle of a chiropractic treatment when he suddenly couldn’t feel his arms anymore. He died of a broken neck in a hospital the next day.

This was Lawler’s third appointment with the chiropractor for treatment of back and leg pain. A relative who was in the room during treatment said he screamed, “You hurt me! I can’t feel my arms!”

The UK authorities have ruled that there is no basis for a criminal complaint.
