Would you like to celebrate your mother or mother figure in style on this Mother’s Day? Here you can take them with you on Sundays for an incredible selection from brunch to multi-course meals.
Cheeseburger on monkey tail.
The first round for mom takes place in the Monkey’s Tail house, where all mothers who eat in it receive a free glass of sparkling wine. Mother’s Day guests can also enter the restaurant’s raffle for the Mommy’s Night Out package, which includes a $ 200 Monkey’s Tail gift card and $ 100 cash to cover childcare fees. The drawing will take place on Monday and the winner will be announced on Instagram.
Lamb chops at Ouisie.
Gracie DiAnne Henley
Not all Mother’s Day brunch are created equal, and the special menu put together by Ousie’s kitchen team is a testament to this. The outstanding products include devil’s eggs with fried capers, blueberry salad with feta and herb scallops and lamb chops with rosemary au jus. Mothers who prefer a liquid brunch should enjoy Ousies Mother’s Day cocktails like the spirited and optimistic “Pink Lady” (choose Apertivo, Rosé, Olive) or the body’s own “Bunny on the Beach” (Rumhaven, Select Apertivo, simple syrup, lime) Juice).
The original Ninfa’s
The Original Ninfa’s offer freshly roasted pork tacos on Mother’s Day.
Remember, despite the opinion of the mass market restaurant industry, mothers aren’t just brunch women: they enjoy piggybacking any time of the day. Ninfa’s talented chef, Alex Padilla, invites the Matriarchs to do just that on Mother’s Day, as he’ll be roasting pigs on site at both locations. The juicy pork is used to make tacos and for washing up. Patrons can enjoy small ninfaritas for just $ 2.
Lavender pancakes at Liberty Kitchen.
Enjoy the buffet at Liberty Kitchen’s River Oaks and Memorial locations, which, in addition to their regular brunch menu, have what is perhaps the most fabulous Mother’s Day carbohydrate in town: lavender pancakes. These fetching flapjacks are dressed in honey crème anglaise and topped with lemon brûlée wheels, which makes for a short stack that is cute and elegant.
Nasi Lemek at Phat Eatery.
Ibu (Malaysian for mother) eats for free on Mother’s Day in Phat, where all maternal figures who dine in it receive a free glass of wine and an appetizer when they purchase an appetizer of equal or lesser value. Mothers who can’t bother putting on pants (and not even on vacation) should be treated with Phat’s “Mother’s Day Feed-Me-Meal-Pack”. The takeaway feast has five courses, including roti canai, oxtail with curry braised beef, beef ruffles, sizzling tofu, mango chicken, and hainan chicken (all with jasmine rice). Orders must be placed by Saturday.
Eggplant pappardelle in the Backstreet Cafe.
Mothers and their cross-generational crews can relax between courses with live jazz music from the equally bright brunch menu in the sunny café on Mother’s Day. Start with tomatillo jam before moving on to appetizers like lobster risotto with peas, asparagus and saffron or green tomato gazpacho. Mains include elaborate, appetizing options like soft-shell crab benedict and tagliatelle with kale pesto. For a sweet finish, try the frozen banana parfait with rum caramel.
Sticky’s Chickenis is located at 2313 Edwards.
Stay home this Mother’s Day and order one of the restaurant’s two different family trays ($ 65). If mom is the wind beneath your wings, choose the 25-wing, truffle mac and cheese option, and garlic rice or flavored fries. If mom likes things light and beautiful, you can alternatively opt for chicken or karaage over rice with sautéed vegetables and mixed spring salad. Call the restaurant to reserve your tray. Orders must be received by Saturday.
Southern Fried Texas Quail Bites at Rainbow Lodge.
Courtesy Rainbow Lodge
True to its promise to serve guests “refined, not stuffy” food, Rainbow Lodge has put together a three-course lunch menu for Mother’s Day that contains lots of fancy protein but little excuse. Start your vacation with a bowl of duck gumbo or fried Texas quail bites with cheddar grains, then tuck them into a delicious crab meat omelette with spinach, mushrooms and fontina or the earthy braised buffalo rib benedict with jalapeño hollandaise. The sweet coda for this meal? Dark chocolate mousse with raspberry whipped cream, passion fruit and pistachio cake or croissant bread pudding.
