An ambulance was involved in a rollover collision in northwest Harris County Friday night.
An 80-year-old ambulance patient was killed and four others were injured Friday night when a car collided with the ambulance and rolled over it.
The collision occurred around 11 p.m. at the intersection of Cypresswood Drive and TC Jester Boulevard in northwest Harris County, Lt. Paul Bruce of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The driver of a four-door sedan allegedly ran at a red light and crashed into the private ambulance, which once rolled over and landed upright, Bruce said.
The ambulance carried the elderly woman for non-emergency use. She died in the hospital, according to OnScene TV.
The ambulance driver, attendant and vehicle occupant were also taken to a hospital by ambulance.
The driver was taken to hospital in critical condition via Life Flight, Bruce said.
